High in fiber, cereals and grains should be included in the baby’s diet. Apart from commercial cereal baby food, give the child small pieces of crackers, oatmeal, bread, toasted oat cereal or even cooked wheat pasta.

Once your baby is one year old you can safely introduce whole milk in his or her diet. It is a good idea to continue breastfeeding till the child is around two year old. One year old babies can be extremely fussy and may refuse to eat something. Instead of force feeding the child, try giving the baby something else to eat and then introduce new foods slowly.
