Feeding children and making them eat can be quite a challenge for most parents. More often than not, children are picky about what they eat and thus you have to make an extra effort to make them eat nutritious food.

As a parent you have to understand that children love eating food that appeals to their eyes. If the food you present them with looks appetizing they will be more relenting and eat it. Here are a few snack time ideas for your little one.

Chicken Meat Balls

Children can not only be fussy about eating fruits and vegetables, but they can sometimes be fussy about meat as well. In that case you can serve them a delicious plate of fried meatballs with a salsa sauce or a sauce of their choice.

Simple mix the mince meat with seasonings like salt and pepper and mix an egg into it. Make small balls and deep fry. If you want, you can add diced bell pepper and onions to your meatballs.

Serve them on a white plate and place the sauce in the center in a cute bowl. Garnish with corianders or bell peppers of different colors to make it appealing to the children. You can be assured that they will love it.

Children adore fried food so give them the chance to eat homemade fried prawns and see how delicious it can be. Season the prawns with salt, pepper and lemon juice and keep aside.

Make a simple batter of flour, eggs and salt and dip the prawns to coat it well and fry. Serve with a sweet chilli sauce and watch children munch away! You can leave the tails on so that children find it easier to hold. You can add a simple cucumber and tomato salad at the side to make the plate look brighter and make your children eat healthy veggies as well.

Buy the pizza bread from the market and add your own choice of vegetables like mushroom, baby corn, tomatoes, onions and bell peppers. Add a generous layer of cheese and your child will enjoy a lovely helping of delicious pizza at home.
