Infertility is one of the most prevalent disorders existing these days. It can be described as a disorder in which an individual is unable to conceive the natural way. A miscarriage sometimes is also a result of infertility. There are several other repercussions of infertility and apart from the clinical tests it can also be diagnosed when a couple performs unprotected intercourse for six months up to a year or more and yet does not conceive.
This disorder is more prevalent in women than men and is treatable in most cases. The treatment of these cases more often lies in the reasons for this disorder. A few of them are discussed below as they are the most commonly found reasons.
Fertility Problems in Women
Endometriosis is one of the most commonly found reasons for infertility. This is a condition where the growth of tissues spread from the inside of the uterus lining towards the outside, but within the pelvic cavity in the abdomen. It is recurrent due to imbalance in production progesterone which is a hormone. When the lining does not thicken and spreads outside, it hinders conception and causes painful intercourse, or periods too.
Problem In The Ovaries
The ovaries are the production centres of hormone especially the female ones, called progesterone and these enable the uterus lining to thicken and contribute in the formation of the feateus. Due to certain deficiencies in the Uterus when the production of progesterone is insufficient, then the uterus loses its capacity and results in miscarriage .This is another reason for Infertility in women.
Poor Quality Of Egg
Infertility becomes prominent when the egg quality decreases. This usually happens in the wrong side of 30 years and beyond those years as well. Age is mostly the only factor that causes the bad quality and because of this abnormality present in the egg, it becomes difficult for the carrier of the egg to conceive.
Fallopian Tubes Blockages
The fallopian tubes is where the egg meets the sperm and fertilization takes place here so any kind of blockages or damages to the fallopian and any type of damage or blockages in the fallopian tubes result in either the failure in fertilization, or it can affect the movement of the egg which in turn hinders the fertility from taking place so improper functioning is another reason for infertility.
Inflammatory Diseases In The Pelvic Region (PID)
Another most prevailing disorder affecting fertility is PID or Pelvic Inflammatory Diseases. The root cause for PID is bacteria that cause infections the reproductive parts and even some sections of the intestine an appendix as well. The most easily infected part being the fallopian tube this is a common cause of infertility among women. Pelvic inflammatory diseases are caused by bacteria, which can cause infections in various parts of the reproductive system, appendix and parts of the intestine, which lie in the pelvic region. The reason behind this disorder is several other diseases such as Herpes Virus, ruptured appendix, abortions that are not sterile, Apart from these issues PIDs occur mainly because of disease that are transmitted sexually. So it can be concluded that Infertility results due to pelvic inflammatory diseases which are a by-product of other diseases.
