A sore throat can be defined as a painful sensation in the throat. It is experienced as an itching or stretching of the throat which causes difficulties in eating, drinking and at times breathing as well. A sore throat indicates some kind of bacterial/viral infection and at times could get triggered by incorrect eating or drinking out, weather change or via coming in contact with an already infected person.

Tips To Cure Sore Throat Naturally
The most effective and ancient remedy for a sore throat is gargles. Take a glass of warm water put half teaspoon salt into it and do gargles. For immediate relief gargles should be done two to three times a day especially during the night before going to the bed. Avoid eating anything post doing the gargles at night. In severe cases, you can put ¼ teaspoon turmeric into the water and do the gargles with the same. You can also drink a warm glass of water with a pinch of turmeric added into it before going to the bed for curing a sore throat.
Sip Warm Water
To provide relief to the throat try and drink warm water throughout the day. It heals the throat making the infection go down. Avoid taking anything cold or icy till the pain goes away. You could also take ginger tea, basil leaves tea or green tea one or two times a day for soothing effect.
Ginger And Honey
Take a small piece of ginger and grate the same to take out its juice. Grate the quantity which is enough to give you one – two teaspoon of ginger juice. Now add ¼-half teaspoon honey into the ginger juice and eat the same. Take the ginger and honey together both in the morning and at night after dinner. Avoid eating anything after taking this mixture at night.
Make Your Own Herbal Tea
Another very effective remedy which provides instant relief from a sore throat is made by combining: Cinnamon powder, Fenugreek seeds, Green cardamom and Black cardamom. Take one glass of water put a small piece of cinnamon stick or 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder and fenugreek seeds into it. Crush one green and black cardamom and put the same into the above mixture. Boil the above mixture till it remains half. Now take it off the burner and sip slowly for immediate relief. It is recommended to drink it warm for soothing effect. You can add little sugar into it for taste if needed.
Eat Liquorice (mulathi):
Liquorice is a very effective herb with brilliant healing powers. Take once cup of water, crush half or one fourth portion of liquorice stick and put the same into the water. Put this mixture to boil. Take it off the burner once the water reduces to half; now sip this drink slowly for instant relief. You can also chew liquorice stick and suck its juice for get some relief. In severe cases or extreme pain it is recommended to apply the above remedies twice a day, both in the morning as well as night. You should avoid eating anything in the night post taking any of these remedies. Avoid eating outside food and anything cold till the sore throat gets healed.
