Oval Shaped Face
Oval shaped face doesn’t need much to do, it already is perfect. Makeup can be used to emphasize those assets. Apply foundation one shade darker than your skin tone along the jawline. Highlight the center of the forehead and the chin using a natural shade to make them prominent. Natural arch eye brows works best for oval shaped face. Emphasize your eyes or either your lips, avoid making both strong at the same time.
Heart Shaped Face
Heart shaped face has wider forehead, narrow chin and well-defined cheekbones. Contouring will help to provide attractiveness to the face. For the forehead use powder or foundation that is one to two tones darker than your natural skin tone to make it look slimmer. Since heart shaped face already has prominent cheekbones highlight them using lighter foundation and use this under the eye as well, this will detract attention from the forehead. Eye brows look best in their natural arch, but they should be properly trimmed. Use subtle makeup on the eye with fuller lashes. Use fuller lashes ans apply generous coat of mascara. For the lips, bright colors suit heart shapes face very well.
Round Shaped Face
Round faces are not very well defined. It has fuller cheeks and rounded chin. It can be lengthened and defined through contouring. Use foundation two shades darker than your natural tone on the temples, sides of jaws and cheek bones. Highlight using two shades lighter and apply on the center of the forehead and chin. This will make the face look more oval. To emphasize your features use dark lip colors and a smudgy look for the eye and use darker eye shadow towards the outer part of the eye lid.
Square Shaped Face
Square face has a broader jawline. It can be softened to make it look rounder and give appearance of an oval shape. Use a two shades darker foundation on the sides of the forehead and the jaw. Apply lighter shade foundation on the center of the forehead, cheeks and the chin. this will give a softer look to the face. Round eyebrows looks best on square face. Keep the eye makeup subtle and use bright and dramatic colors for the lips.
Rectangular Or Oblong Face
Oblong faces are less wide and longer having same width for forehead, cheeks and jaw. Accentuate your cheeks if face is rectangular. Use darker shades for the forehead and bottom of the chin. Highlight the cheekbones to make face look oval. Use dramatic makeup for the eye to divert attention from the shape of the face.
Diamond Shaped Face
Diamond face has narrow forehead and jawline with wider cheeks. contouring can be done using darker foundation (two tones) on the cheeks to understate them. Highlight forehead and jaw using lighter foundation. Eyebrows should have natural arch and show be away from the center to give wider appearance to the forehead.
