Signs & Symptoms of Herpes
Pain and Itching
The most common symptom of this problem is pain and itching in the genital area. This pain and irritation start after the exposure to the already infected sex partner. If this pain and itching are ignored then it leads to the formation of small and red bumps or in some cases white blisters and when these bumps ruptures then they take the form of bleeding ulcers. Ultimately a scab is formed and healing starts in ulcers.
Eruption of Sores
The sores erupt in the vaginal area, external genitals, buttocks or anus in the case of women but in case of men,sores are formed on the penis, scrotum, buttocks, and anus or inside the urethra.
Pain While Urinating
Due to the presence of ulcers, it becomes difficult to pass the urine. Tenderness and pain are also observed in the genital area and it stays till the infection goes away.
Headache, Backache and Muscle Ache
In the initial stage of this problem, the patient suffers from three types of aches like backache, headache and muscle ache. This is due to the infection in the body and the presence of virus.
Some people suffer from flu like symptoms like fever and chills. This is due to the active state of virus in the body. The body undergoes changes which increases the body temperature.
Swollen Lymph Nodes
Swelling and inflammation takes place in the lymph nodes of the body. All the glands in the genital area become swollen due to continued pain and irritation in them.
The presence of all the above symptoms in a person at a time makes him very tired and frustrating. This gives rise to the problem of fatigue in the body. This problem leads to lack of strength and stamina in the body to active people as well.
The problem of herpes is different for each and every person. The symptoms always have the chances to recur on and off.
