Sexually transmitted Diseases or STDs as they are famously called are usually caused by unprotected sex or having any type of physical contact with infected person.
It would be interesting to know STIs and STDs are relative terms but can’t be used interchangeably. While STI talks about the infection caused by any virus or bacteria, transmitted through sex; STDs are disease caused by those infections.
STIs may or may not show any symptoms chances of getting infected are higher; While STDs do show warning, indication or generic feeling of being sick. One needs to sit up and take notice of these diseases because not only they are harmful but can also be life threatening.
Types of STDs and Their Symptoms
To spot symptoms of STDs in men we would need to understand types of STDs and symptoms each and every disease shows:
Most deadly of all STDs, this disease has virus lying dormant for many years, making it absolutely difficult for someone to detect if the person is infected. Though a decrease in immunity, swollen node in glands, groin, neck or armpit.
Diarrhoea which lasts for more than a week, unexplained and sudden weight-loss, abnormal patching of skin mainly near mouth, nose or eyelids are major symptoms that appear over a period of time. HPV or Genital warts
Genital warts are most common type of STDs that are caused by Human Papilloma Virus. Humans, especially Men could be contaminated by this virus but can show no obvious symptoms, while a few show growth of warts which is tiny, plump and whitish in colour.
The warts can show up at tip of penis or shaft, scrotum and travel up to anal area (in case someone is engaged in anal sex). Oral sex lover should beware as these warts can show up in mouth and oesophagus of the person who has had sex with person who is infected by HPV.
Caused by bacteria called Chlamydia trachomatis. Men infected from this STD may suffer from burning sensation during urination, whitish cloudlike or very prominent yellowish-green discharge from penis. Men could always feel a burning sensation or itching at tip of the penis.
If you are suffering from severe itch at anal area or you feel pain while passing urine, you probably are infected by Gonorrhea. Other symptoms could be a bloody discharge from penis or engorged testicles which pain when touched.

Swelling in groins, headaches, loss in appetite, a rash on palms, back of legs, or face and arms. In the last stage of Syphilis it could lead to blindness, insanity, permanent ulcers and paralysis.
