How To Outfit A Guest Bedroom

5 Ways To Outfit A Guest Bedroom

When you are having family or guests over to your place, it is vital that your guest bedroom is well stocked, neat and clean with all the possible comforts that your guests could want. One should plan and equip the guest bed room in such a way that as the host you don’t have to be running around on your feet catering to their every need. Here are a few things that you need to remember.

The Bedding

Your guest beds should be sufficiently large and spacious. Make sure you air out the mattresses before the guests come. Spare sheets, pillow covers, quilts and bed covers must be catered for. Store these in the storage space provided under the bed or fold them into neat stacks and put them in the guest room cupboard so that they are within the reach of the guest. You also need to provide a set of 2 towels per head for your guests. Do cater for hand towels and napkins.

Empty Space

Make sure you have some space where your guests can store their luggage. Place a table or empty out the over head cabinets where all the suit cases can go. Give adequate space to the guests to store their clothing. For this, empty out a cupboard if required. Place 10-15 extra hangers. Shoe drawers and shoe racks must be catered for.
