This incredible recipe seems to have originated from France, although an American chef claims credit for it. According to his version, this recipe is actually a product of baking fiasco. Yes, you heard it right.

The chef had hurried to remove the chocolate cake out of the oven before it was completely baked and found the center to be in a semi-liquid state. However, to his surprise, this cake became a huge hit among the diners and thus was born this sinful recipe.

You will need

100g  semi-sweet chocolate (available in departmental stores)
100g unsalted butter
Two whole eggs
50g  powdered sugar
25g refined flour
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla essence
½ tsp Salt

Method

Preheat the oven to 200º C. Sieve the refined flour, salt and cocoa powder together and keep it aside. In a bowl beat the eggs using a blender. Add vanilla essence and powdered sugar to it and beat them until frothy.

Cut the butter into small pieces and break down the chocolate, likewise. To melt them together, you will need a double boiler. Place a large utensil, add a cup of water to it and let it boil. You will now need to choose a bowl whose bottom fits into this vessel but does not get immersed into it. Melt butter and chocolate by placing them in this bowl. Attempts to melt them on a direct stove can burn the mixture, alternatively use a microwave.

Add the melted chocolate-butter blend, flour mixture to the beaten eggs and mix them thoroughly using a spatula. The batter is now ready to bake. Do not forget to grease the baking tray with butter to ensure the cake does not stick to the tray, when done. The cake should be slightly under baked to get the desired consistency. Pour the batter into the tray and bake them in a preheated oven for 10 minutes.
