Pav Bhaji Recipe

Pav Bhaji is a delicious snack food that is very easy to make at home. It is loved by everyone because of its delightful taste. Moreover, It is very healthy for your kids as the Bhaji is a blend of a lot of nutritional vegetables. It is an amazing dish which you would love to share with everyone.

Butter-2 tbsp
French Bean-250 gm
Carrot-2 big
Cauliflower-1 small
Green chillies-3
Butter Oil-2 tbsp
Cumin Seeds-2 tsp
Turmeric-1 tsp
Coriander Powder-2 tsp
Red chilli powder-1 tsp
Pav Bhaji Masala-2 tbsp

Ingredients pav bhaji

Wash all the vegetables properly under running water. Chop the veggies and boil them lightly in a cooker. Then mash all the vegetables (except onion) and make a paste of them. You can take help of a mixer grinder to perform this task. Now keep them aside until we complete our next step.

Take a pan and heat some oil in it. Add cumin seeds, ginger, garlic, onion and sauté for 5-6 minutes until it gets golden brownish in color. Now add the paste of all the vegetables which we prepared earlier. Then sprinkle salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder and Pav bhaji masala. Add 1 to 2 cups of water to this. Now cook for 8-10 minutes. Stir 4 to 5 times between cooking time. Now remove the pan from flame. Stir the gravy and add some freshly chopped coriander leafs to it.

Now take a pack of Pav bread. It is readymade and easily available in bakery or local general stores in the markets. You can take the Harvest Gold Pav Bread. It is the best amongst all the brands.

Now take a flat non stick Tava. Heat some butter on it and one-by-one place the pav breads on it. Heat them nicely for 2-3 minutes so that they become slightly crunchy. Sambar Dosa

Sambar Dosa is another amazing snack recipe preferred by every age groups. This dish is originally from South India but today it is a best seller in every restaurant of India. It is very easy to make at home. You must try this recipe.


Tamarind-1/4th cup
Hot water-3/4th cup
Dry red chillies-5
Chickpea lentil-2tbsp
Coconut-1/2 cup grated
Curry leaves
Coriander seeds -1tsp
Cumin seeds-1tsp
Fenugreek seeds-1tsp
Water-5 cups
Tuvar dal-1 cup
Turmeric-1/2 tsp
Onion-1 medium
Drumsticks-2 to 3
Mustard seeds -1tsp

Ingredients sambar


Put the tamarind in a glass bowl. Add some hot water into it. Keep it covered for 30 minutes. Now sieve this properly to get the tamarind pulp.

In a pan heat some oil. Roast the red chillies, chickpea lentil, asafoetida, coconut, curry leaves, coriander, cumin seeds and fenugreek seeds. Roast them nicely for 5-6 minutes until get brownish golden in color.

Now grind these roasted ingredients into a paste, add little water in between to make a past like tendency. Pour some water in the cooker. Add tuvar dal, salt and turmeric to it and stir well. Close the cooker. Bring it to full pressure on high heat. Now remove it from heat. Allow to cool naturally. Now open the cooker and mash the lentils completely. Add the tamarind pulp, ground paste, onion, drumsticks and the remaining curry leaves. Now add some water and cook for 8-10 minutes. The sambar is ready now we need to provide a temper to it.


To Temper

Take a pan and heat some oil in it. Now add the mustard seeds, curry leaves and dry red chillies. When starts crackling, pour it into the sambar.

To make Dosa we can take a readymade dosa mix which can be easily purchased from the nearby  market. Make a fine consistent batter of it. Then heat a non stick tawa and grease it with oil. Pour the dosa batter on tava. Allow it to cook and carefully take it out with the help of a knife. Dosa can also be prepared with a stuffing of boiled potatoes, tempered with the mustard seeds, dry red chillies, mustard seeds and a mix of common kitchen spices. But remember that Dosa should be consumed immediately because after sometime it does not remain crunchy and crispy as before.
