How To Do A Smoky Brown Eye

Smoky eyes are the flavor of the season and you can find everyone from runway models to celebrities and just about everyone sporting this eye makeup look. While the classic smoky eye is done with black eyeshadow, you can always twist things a bit for getting a more natural look.

Smoky Brown Eyes

Brown smoky eyes are not just beautiful but are excellent for everyday natural makeup. Moreover brown eyeshadows suit everyone whether you have a light or dark complexion. Here are some simple steps for a gorgeous smoky brown eye makeup that will give you a soft yet dramatic look.

Instructions for Smoky Brown Eyes

Apply Eye Primer

Clean your eyelids and apply an eye primer and use your fingers or a brush to blend it completely. Using a primer intensifies the color of the eyeshadows and also helps the eye makeup last much longer. Along with a eye primer you can also use an eyeshadow base preferably in light brown.

You can also use a light brown cream eyeshadow or use an eye pencil for creating the base for the smoky eyes. To use an eye pencil just trace the pencil over your lids and then using a brush blend the color.

Define the Crease

To define the crease, use a black or a coppery brown eyeshadow. Do not go overboard with the black eyeshadow as it tends to overpower the rest of the eye makeup. Apply the soft brown eyeshadow above the crease and blend well to soften the entire look. Use a crease blending brush to soften the harsh lines and then use a matte beige highlighter on your brow bone.

Apply Eyeliner and Mascara

Finish up your smoky brown eyes by applying black or dark brown eyeliner on your lids. Line your lower lids with dark black khol and apply some golden brown eyeshadow on the lower lash line. Apply dark brown or black mascara on your eyelashes. You can also use fake eyelashes or curl your lashes with an eyelash curler before applying the mascara. Use a volumizing mascara that thickens your eyelashes and helps in highlighting your eyes and adding a dramatic touch to them.

With smoky brown eyes you will need to keep the rest of your makeup simple. So use a light copper blush on your cheeks and then use a gold highlighter to emphasize your makeup. For the lips, stick to a light coral pink lipstick and a pink lip gloss for added shine and beauty. You can use any nude and light shades for your lips.
