Ingredients 

1 Large or 2 medium potatoes cut in long strips or wedges
Vegetable oil for deep frying
Salt and pepper to taste
A bowl of cold water

Procedure 

1. Wash the potato wedges/strips in water and soak them in the bowl of cold water for about 25-30 minutes.  After the potatoes have been soaked properly, take them out and pat dry.  Heat oil in a pan and bring the temperature to 135 degrees C. There are a lot of candy thermometers available in the market which can be used to measure high temperature. Now fry the potato pieces in this oil for about five minutes.

2. Remove the fries and pat with tissues to remove excess oil. Now reheat oil to175 degrees C. Take the half-fried potatoes and fry again in this hot oil. Keep frying till the potatoes turn golden brown. Take out and blot with tissues. Remove any traces of oil.

3. Your fries are ready. Sprinkle some salt and pepper on top and you are good to go!

Ingredients 

1 Large or 2 medium potatoes cut in long strips or wedges
Vegetable oil for deep frying
Salt and pepper to taste
A bowl of cold water
Two cubes of cheddar cheese shredded
Paprika powder

Procedure 

1. Prepare the French fries according to the above mentioned recipe. While you are frying the potatoes for the second time in the meantime melt cheese in the microwave for 1-2 minutes, till the cheese is completely molten.

Ingredients 

1 Large potato cut in sticks or wedges
1 tablespoon Olive oil
Salt as per taste
½ teaspoon garlic powder
¼teaspoon paprika powder
Baking sheet

Procedure 

1. First and foremost, pre-heat oven to 230 degrees C. Now take the potato pieces in a mixing bowl and add the olive oil and the seasonings. Mix well to coat each and every potato piece with the oil and seasonings.

2. Dip the potatoes in the batter and fry them in the oil. Fry a few pieces at a time in order to prevent them from sticking together. Take out the fries and soak up excess oil with the help of tissue papers. Your batter coated fries are ready.
