Chicken Burger RecipeA burger doesn’t need any introductions. It is obviously the most popular fast food. It’s worldwide fame and popularity has forced to me write my recipe of burger. This burger is pretty tasty, but is a little on the healthy side. This means, that you will be able to relish it whenever you want.

Preparation time required- 20-25 minutes
Cooking time required- 20 minutes

Appliances Required

1 pestle and mortar
1 deep skillet
1 spider strainer
2 large bowls
1 mallet
1 thick plastic bag or sheet
1 wire whisk
1 candy thermometer

Ingredients For Crispy Chicken Burger Recipe

4 chicken breasts (trimmed-fat)
4 burger buns
1 cup of all-purpose flour
4 eggs
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of dried oregano
1 teaspoon of fennel seeds
1/4th teaspoon of cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon of black pepper powder
1 cup of corn flour
½ teaspoon of cardamom powder
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of celery salt
2 tablespoons of chili sauce
4 parsley leaves
1 cup of cabbage, chopped
Low fat mayonnaise
Olive or canola oil, for frying

Method of Cooking Crispy Chicken Burger Recipe

1.  Take the eggs in a large bowl and season them with a little bit of pepper and chili sauce. Then beat the eggs thoroughly using a fork or a small wire whisk.

There should not be any lumps in the beaten eggs. Once you are ready with the eggs, place a deep skillet on medium heat and fill it with oil. Fill the skillet with enough oil so that the patties can be deep fried.

2.  While the oil is heating up, put all the spices in a dry and clean mortar and start crushing them with the pestle. Crush the spices until you get a fine powder. Once done, take the chicken breasts and place them on a hard surface.

Then cover one of the chicken breasts with a thick plastic bag or sheet and start to beat it slowly. Use a mallet to beat and flatten the chicken. Avoid beating the chicken too hard, because you may accidentally tear it. Beat and flatten the rest of the chicken breast pieces in the same way and then keep them aside.

3. Now take one of the flattened chicken breasts and sprinkle the grounded spice mix over it. Gently rub the spice all over the chicken breast. Then turn the piece and rub the other side as well.

Once done, set it aside and rub another piece of chicken breast. Rub the remaining chicken breasts in the same way. Now take a bowl and combine the flour, corn flour, a pinch of salt and the remaining spice rub together.

Combine them thoroughly and then keep the mixture aside. Then dip one chicken breast into the egg mixture and immediately put it into the flour mixture.

4.  Dredge the chicken breast to nicely cover it on all sides and then discard the excess flour. Dip and dredge the remaining chicken breasts in the egg and flour mixture. Now dip the candy thermometer into the hot oil and note the temperature.

If the thermometer reads 185 degrees centigrade then put one of the flour coated chicken breasts into the hot oil. Turn down the gas a bit to enable proper cooking.

Fry the chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side and then pick up with a spider strainer. Strain the excess oil and keep on a paper towel lined plate. Fry the remaining chicken breasts and then keep them aside.

5. Now place 4 parsley leaves 1 on each of the burger bun bases and then put one chicken patty over each. Top each of the patties with some chopped cabbages and then top those with mayonnaise. Finally put the bun lid and enjoy!!!
