Pink eye or conjunctivitis is an infection of the conjunctiva. Conjunctivitis is caused by a viral or bacterial infection. Some of the common symptoms of pink eye include redness in one or both eyes, itchiness, blurred vision, discharge and sensitivity to light.

Remedies for Eyes
Honey and Milk
Mix together equal quantities of milk and honey and wash your eyes with this mixture using a cotton ball. The anti-bacterial properties in the honey and soothing effects of the milk help to cure pink eye.
You can use different oils such as lavender oil or rose oil with a hot compress. Soak a warm cloth in lavender or rose oil and put it over the eyes for five to ten minutes. Repeat this activity three to four times a day. Hot compress will help to remove the infection from your eyes. Also, you will feel comfortable and relaxed.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Prepare a mixture by combining one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with one cup of water. Wash your eyes with this mixture using a cotton ball.
Wash and cut the potatoes into thin slices and keep them on your eyes for ten minutes. Repeat this activity for three consecutive nights. Using potatoes on your eyes will provide essential nutrients to keep your eyes healthy and bright.
Prepare aloe vera juice by mixing half a teaspoon of aloe vera juice in a cup of boiled water and use it to wash your eyes. You can also use aloe vera juice as a compress. Soak a small cotton ball in aloe vera juice and put it over your eyes.
Spinach and Carrot Juice
Prepare spinach and carrot juice by mixing 200 ml of spinach juice with 300 ml of carrot juice. Place this mixture over your eyes for about 10-15 minutes.
Apply a small amount of lemon juice outside of the affected area. You might feel a stinging sensation for some time but it will gradually go away.
Add some salt in boiled water. Soak this mixture into the cotton ball and apply it on the affected area.
Mix two teaspoons of turmeric powder in one cup of boiled water. Use this mixture as a hot compress on the affected area.
Ice pack is very effective in reducing swelling, redness and itchiness. Dip a clean cloth in cold water and squeeze it to remove excess water. Now put the cloth on your eyes for 10 minutes.
Boil coriander in water for a few minutes and allow the mixture to cool to room temperature. Wash your eyes with this mixture. You can also use this mixture as a compress. After repeating this activity for a few days, you will observe significant improvements in your pink eye symptoms.
