1 large roasting chicken
1 8-ounce can of chicken broth
1 8-ounce can of cream of chicken soup
1/3rd teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of dried thyme
1 teaspoon of dried oregano
½ teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of onion powder
2 medium sized potatoes, cut into cubes
4 medium sized carrots, halved
1 medium sized onion, cut into cubes
1 teaspoon of paprika½ teaspoon of cayenne pepper powder
4 scallions, chopped into bite sized pieces

Process of Cooking Crock Pot Chicken Recipe
This recipe is very simple. All you have to do is throw-in every ingredient into your crockpot one after the other. And taddaa! Your crock pot chicken will be ready. For that, take a sharp knife and place your chicken on the cutting board. Make sure that you wash the chicken thoroughly before touching it. Then using your knife, score the chicken to take out the unwanted giblets. Let the skin remain on the chicken. Then take a small bowl and combine the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper powder, dried oregano, dried thyme and paprika together.
Stir all of them with a spoon to get a nicely combined mixture. Then take the chicken and using your hands rub the spice rub all over the chicken. Push-in a little bit of spice mix inside the chicken to get a rounded taste. Let the chicken sit for 10 minutes. In the meantime, you can prepare the other things you will require for this recipe. For that, cut 1 onion and 2 potatoes into bite sized cubes. Once done, peel the carrots and cut them into halves. Cut the scallions into bite sized pieces. Wash all the veggies with water and then keep them aside. Now take the crock pot and layer the onions at the base of the crock pot.
Then throw-in the cubed potatoes and the halved scallions and carrots over the onions. Follow that by placing the spiced chicken over the veggies. Once done, top the chicken with the cream of chicken soup and the chicken broth. Set the crock pot on high or low depending on how much time you can devote to it. To cook the chicken on high, set the timer for 2 hours while if you want to cook the chicken on low then let it remain in the crock pot for 4-6 hours. Check the chicken when half the time has elapsed and adjust the liquid content if needed. Once done, take out the chicken from the crock pot, remove the skin and serve it as you like.
