This mouth-watering kabab is simple and tasty. The tangy and spicy flavour of the kabab makes it absolutely tempting.

Ingredients

Chicken- 500 grams
Ginger paste- 25 grams
Garlic paste- 1 teaspoon
Red chilli powder- 1½ teaspoons
Black pepper powder- 1 teaspoon
Vinegar- 2 teaspoons
Lime- 1
Salt- To taste
Refined oil- As required

Method of Preparation

1) Wash the chicken properly and cut into 2 inch cubes. Marinate the chicken with ginger paste, garlic paste, red chilli powder, pepper powder, vinegar, lime juice and little salt. Keep aside the marinated chicken for 3-4 hours. You can also marinate the chicken overnight and keep it in the refrigerator.

2) Mix the masala once again before cooking the chicken kabab. Now press the chicken cubes into the skewer.

3) Place the kababs into an ovenproof bowl. Now put this bowl into the oven and grill the kababs for 4-5 minutes. Now gently flip the kababs to grill the other side. Sprinkle some oil on top of each kabab to allow them to grill properly.

4) Take out from the oven and place the kababs on the serving plate. Garnish with cucumber, onion and tomato slices. Serve absolutely hot.

Chicken Kathi Kabab

This kabab is served as a starter in various parties and occasions. Chicken cubes are placed on wooden skewers along with carrot, capsicum and onion and then deep-fried.

Ingredients

Chicken- 500 grams
Ginger paste- 1 tablespoon
Garlic paste- 2 teaspoons
Coriander paste- 1 teaspoon
Raw papaya paste- 2 teaspoons
Carrots- 2
Dry red chilli paste- 1 teaspoon
Capsicum- 3
Onion- 3
Green chilli paste- 1 teaspoon
Sunflower oil- ½ cup
Cinnamon- 2
Cloves- 3
Cardamom- 3-4
Salt- To taste
Wooden skewers- 4-5
Lemon- For garnishing

Method of Preparation

1) Cut the chicken into 1 inch cubes. Cut the carrots, onions and capsicums into cubes. Soak the wooden skewers in water for 45 minutes.

2) Put the cinnamon, cardamom and cloves in the mixer and prepare a smooth garam masala paste.

3) Marinate the chicken with ginger paste, garlic paste, garam masala paste, red chilli paste, green chilli paste, coriander paste and little oil. Keep the chicken aside for 2 hours. Now add the papaya paste to the chicken and mix together properly. Cover the chicken and keep it aside for one hour.

4) Press the chicken cubes into the kathi or wooden sticks alternating with carrots, onion and capsicum slices. You can easily place 3-4 chicken cubes in one skewer.

5) Put a frying pan on the flame. Add sunflower oil and let it heat for 1 minute. Now place the wooden skewers into the pan and fry the chicken and vegetables nicely.

6) Put the kababs into a serving plate. Garnish with lemon rings and onions. Serve hot with pulao or paratha.

Chicken Reshmi Kabab

This kabab can be cooked in a jiffy. The creamy reshmi kabab is best eaten with tandoori roti and salad.

Raw papaya paste- 3 tablespoons
Garlic paste- 1 teaspoon
Vinegar- 1 teaspoon
Black pepper powder- ½ teaspoon
Capsicum- 2
Onion paste- ½ cup
Salt- To taste

Method of Preparation

1) Wash the chicken and cut into cubes. Cut the capsicum into small pieces.

2) Marinate the chicken with papaya paste, garlic paste, vinegar, pepper powder, onion paste and salt. Keep the chicken aside for 2-3 hours.
