People on this diet plan are allowed to eat plenty of meat like veal, lamb, beef, goose, turkey, chicken, quail, Cornish hen; nuts and seeds like pecans, almonds, cashew nuts, pumpkin seeds, filberts and Brazil nuts; seafood like lobsters, oysters, crab, shrimp and clams; cold pressed oils like linseed oil, avocado oil, olive oil, apricot oil, sunflower oil, butter and almond oil.

Whole grains should not be consumed during the first two weeks of this diet plan. After the first two weeks, people on the candida control diet plan are allowed to consume grains like millet, oats, barley, sesame and wheat. You can also eat bread and muffins prepared from whole grains sans any sugar, yeast or honey.

Individuals following this diet plan are encouraged to eat plenty of fresh vegetables like  squash, cabbage, beans, peas, green radishes, spinach, okra, parsnip, corn beets, summer squash, collards, eggplants, zucchini, green peppers and kale to name just a few.

Foods to Be Avoided

People on the candida control diet should avoid drinking all frozen, bottled and canned juices. Except for medicinal tea, all kinds of beverages including decaffeinated coffee, tea, instant and regular coffee are to be avoided. All kinds of cheese and foods which contain cheese are to be avoided totally.

People with candidiasis should avoid processed foods containing refined flour, yeast and sugar. Similarly smoked meats, dried and candied fruits, melons and malt products should not be eaten.

Normal Side Effects

People who are following the candida control diet are likely to feel extremely exhausted in the initial weeks of this diet plan. Besides feeling fatigued, some people also complain of recurrent flu like symptoms. Dieters should not get unduly concerned as these symptoms are just a natural reaction to the candida yeast dying inside the body.
