Cellulitis is the name given to an inflammation of the skin’s dermal and subcutaneous layers. Bacteria entering your skin through scratches, insect bite or cut cause this inflammation. Human skin has different forms of bacteria and flora living on it, which is quite normal. Usually the scratches get healed with proper cleaning and antiseptic application.
However, there are bacteria, which are resistant to antibacterial products. The most common types of bacteria that are responsible for causing cellulitis are staphylococcus and streptococcus. According to the traditional system of medicine penicillin based drugs are administered for the treatment of cellulitis.
However, as the age old adage goes – prevention is better than cure. If you do not wish to opt for traditional medicines it is quite possible to heal the inflammation with a natural cure for cellulitis. If cellulite is not treated on time it can spread to the lymph glands and then enter the blood stream causing an infection in the whole body. This can cause sepsis, which can become fatal.
