Alfalfa can be used to prepare fresh juice at home, which can be taken by adult men and women every morning for good bones at old age. Taking alfalfa tablets from good herbal brand is equally effective.
This herb is high on silicon that protects your bone from loss of strength and density during hormonal changes. It helps in strengthening the bones by increasing calcium utilization and develops collagen production. It is recommended to take dose of 300 mg three times a day in form of tablets or capsules. If you want to prepare horsetail herb tea then you can take 2-3 tsp herb dried leaves in a cup of boiling water and steep it for 10 minutes, then strain and have the water twice daily.
