Allergies

Chondroitin sulfate has been noticed to worsen and elevate allergic reactions in people who are allergic to chondroitin sulfate. Chondroitin sulfate may lead to allergic reactions like skin rashes, asthma, and hyper-sensitivity of skin to sun.

Other Side-Effects

Prolonged usage of chondroitin sulfate may lead to various side-effects like hair loss, gastrointestinal problems and pain, chest pain, eyelid edema, increased blood pressure levels, nausea, headache, chest pain, constipation, euphoria, difficulty in breathing, chest or throat tightness, and diarrhea.

Dosage

Dosage of chondroitin sulfate for adults in the form of injection may be up to 50-100 milligrams per day. The dosage can be divided into two per day.  But apart from that, oral dosage of 200-400 milligram or 800-1200 milligrams can also be recommended based on the condition of the patient.
