Here are some really simple ways to get rid of this problem in minimal span of time.
Here Are Ways To Whiten Your Nails
It’s the most easy and efficient method to get rid of yellow nails. First, apply a thin coat of a whitening baby toothpaste (avoid blue, red or gel toothpaste) on the affected nails. Then, use any old toothbrush to gently scrub the nails for around 2 minutes. Finally wash them with lukewarm water and apply some moisturizer to the area. Repeat this process as many times as required according to the intensity of the problem.
Lemon is known to be the best natural bleaching agent and astringent. Fill up a bowl with half an inch height of lemon juice and soak your nails in it for around 12 minutes. Then, wash them gently and apply moisturizer. Repeat as and when required. Do not do this if you have cut around your nails.
Tea Tree Oil
Sometimes, nail yellowing occurs due to some fungal infection, in those cases, tea tree oil, being a good natural fungicide, is the best remedy one can apply. Pure tea tree oil is applied to the affected nails using a dropper. Leave it there for 5 minutes and then rinse them with water. Baking Soda + Hydrogen Peroxide
Mix baking soda and hydrogen peroxide in 5:2 ratios respectively. Use cotton to then apply the mixture on your nails. Wait for around 3 minutes before rinsing it with lukewarm water. Repeat this for 7-8 times a week to see effective changes.
Denture Cleaning Tablets
Dissolve a couple of commercial denture leaning tablets in tepid water. Next soak your nails into it for around 5 minutes and then pat your nails dry. Finally apply some cream to your palms. It takes around 6-7 trials before visible effects.
This is another great remedy for yellowness due to fungal infection. Put your nails into pure Listerine for 30 minutes. Then remove them and wash them clean. The sides of your nails may appear green but that is temporary and is removed once you wash your hands properly. Do this for 1 week at a stretch.
Apple Cider Vinegar
This agent is effective in both the cases of nail paint stains and fungal infections. Dilute the Apple Cider Vinegar with lukewarm water in 1:1 ratios. Soak your affected nails in this mixture for around 20 minutes before you remove them pat them slowing with a dry and soft towel. Replicate these steps for three times a day until you see the nails whitening.
Soak your nails for around 15 minutes in lukewarm pure milk. Remove them and pat them with wet towel. Do it for at least 4 times a day for one week to see changes.
Apply orange peel to your nails daily for a few weeks to see your nails growing whiter. Alternatively, mix two tablespoon of dry orange peel powder with water to make a thick paste. Apply this to your pretentious nails for 10 minutes. Wash with soft toothpaste and apply moisturizer. Repeat this remedy twice a day for one week.
