You need to heat up some amount of water in a container and add 3 to 4 tablespoon of epsom salt into it. Stir well so that no salt is settled at the bottom of the container. Soak the affected area in the warm water for minimum 20 to 25 minutes. Later take out the area and wash off with clean warm water. You should pat dry the skin and apply moisturizer to avoid dryness due to epsom salt. Try to adopt this procedure 2 times a day for visible improvement in 2 days.

Cayenne pepper has got the property of giving warmth. This can be used in treating tendonitis. Take 2 to 3 teaspoon of cayenne pepper in a container. Add adequate amount of lukewarm water to it. You may also sprinkle the cayenne pepper powder on the affected area and compress it with hot towel for 10 minutes. Later wash off the area. Take two cotton cloths and soak them separately in both the bowls. Start with a hot compress on the affected area. this you need to squeeze out the extra water from the cloth and then use it for compress. Keep it intact for 10 minutes and the follow with the cold compress in the same manner. Repeat this whole process for 4 times. Do this whole procedure thrice a day for drastic improvement within a day.

Take out an ice tray from the refrigerator and crush the ice cubes into small pieces and place them into a plastic bag. Later wrap it with a thin cotton cloth. Do this for 5 times for noticeable relief from the swelling and pain due to tendonitis.
