In any season, there is nothing more refreshing than sipping a smooth cold drink from a beautifully decorated and nicely-shaped glass. A perfect drink can act as the opening experience of a delightful meal or can bring a scintillating end to memorable event. 

With time drinks are not only sherbet, golas, coffee or tea. They have evolved into more wonderful and sophisticated forms. I have put together some of the mocktail recipes which I have good memories with. hope you try and enjoy them as much as I did.

Banana Strawberry Medley

Banana Strawberry Medley

Things You Need

3 bananas- peel and slice in thick rounds
6 tablespoons of crushed strawberries
1 and 1/2 cups of rich cream
3 strawberry slices
1 cup of crushes ice

Instructions

1) Pour in all the ingredients except the strawberry slices in a blender at high speed for 10-15 seconds.
2) Pour the mix in margarita glasses and decorate with strawberry slice. Serve immediately.

Coconut Refresher

Coconut Refresher

Things You Need

1 whole tender coconut
1 apple- peeled and cored
5 tablespoons of sugar syrup
1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
3 apple fans to garnish

Instructions

1) Refrigerate the tender coconut for 35 minutes.
2) Slice off the top and drain the coconut water. Scoop out the coconut meat.
3) Roughly chop the apples.
4) Blend the coconut meat with coconut water in blender at high speed for 15 seconds.
5) Add the chopped apples, sugar syrup and lemon juice into the blender, and blend until smooth.
6) Pour in the drink in old-fashioned glasses and decorate with the apple fans. Serve chilled.

Things You Need

3 cups of tomato juice
Enough salt for frosting the rims of the glass
1 teaspoon of celery salt
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1/2 teaspoon of tobasco sauce
1 lemon, sliced
1/2 teaspoon white pepper powder
celery stalks to garnish
6-8 ice cubes, crushed

Instructions

1) Take hand-full of salt in a dish. Wet the rims of the old-fashioned glasses with lemon slices and dip in salt. Set the glasses aside.
2) Blend tomato juice, white pepper powder, celery salt, chopped garlic and tobasco sauce and blend until smooth.
3) Add crushed ice to the mix and blend for 5 seconds.
4) Strain the mix into the salt- rimed glasses and serve with chilled celery stalks.

Beetroot Float

Things You Need

1 cup of yogurt
5 medium size beetroots- peel it and grate
1 teaspoon of sugar
salt according to taste
1/2 teaspoon of black salt
1 and 1/2 teaspoon of dry roasted cumin powder
Brown sugar for frosting the rims of the glasses
crushed ice

Instructions

1) Mix the grated beetroots with sugar and salt.
2) Filter it through a clean muslin cloth to remove the extract. Now add 2 cups of water.
3) Process the beetroot extract along with dry roasted cumin powder, yogurt, black salt and crushed ice in a blender until it is smooth.
4) Frost the rims of the glasses with brown sugar and pour in the beetroot juice. Serve chilled.

Orange Colada

Things You Need

2 orange slices
5 tablespoons of coconut milk
1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream
1 cup of orange squash
crushed ice

Instructions

1) Pour vanilla ice cream, coconut milk, crushed ice and orange squash in a blender and blend for 5 seconds.
2) Pour in the drink in old-fashioned glasses.
3) Decorate it with orange slices on the glass rim. Serve chilled.
