Apple And Carrot Drink
You must have heard the proverb “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”. Combining nutritious apples with carrots in a drink makes a very healthy and tasty option for weight watchers. For making this drink for two people, you need 4 cups of sliced carrots, 2 cups of sliced apples, 1 teaspoon of ginger juliennes and a pinch of cinnamon. Combine all the ingredients in a chopper and extract juice. Pour in two glasses and add crushed ice.
Lemon And Oranges Drink
This refreshing drink was discovered when few friends suddenly dropped in to my home and I had some lemons and some oranges left in my refrigerator. For making 4 glasses of this drink squeeze juice of 4 lemons and extract juice of 5 oranges/ kinnow. From the lemons make 3 glasses of nimbu paani as usual. Pour three quarter glass nimbu paani (lime drink) in each glass and top the rest of the glass with orange juice. Add crushed ice. If you want a calorie free drink then do not add sugar in nimbu paani. Just add rock salt and black salt for taste.
When it comes to healthy hot beverages, lemon tea tops the list. A powerhouse of antioxidants, lemon tea does miracles to your health, fitness and beauty. Bring water to boil and switch off the gas. Add a teaspoon of green or black tea for two cups and cover the pan with lid. Let it brew for a minute. Sieve and pour in cups. Add half teaspoon of lemon juice in each cup and sip on a healthy beverage.
Take a handful of mint leaves and grind them with a cup of water. Sieve in a glass and add juice of half lemon. Add salt for taste. A very healthy and refreshing drink for summers is ready. If you find the juice rather bitter than add a teaspoon of sugar for taste.
Jaljeera Or Indian Flavored Lemondae
For making this refreshing drink for 4 people take a quarter cup of mint leaves, quarter cup of cilantro leaves, a tablespoon of chopped ginger, a pinch of asafetida, one tablespoon of cumin seeds dry roasted and powdered, a teaspoon each of common salt and black salt, 3 tablespoons of lemon juice, one tablespoon tamarind pulp (deseeded), sugar for taste and 4 cups water. Blend all the ingredients into a blender and sieve in a jar. Pour a tablespoon of this paste in each glass and fill with water. Top with crushed ice.
