Taking care of those beautiful tresses can be one hell of a task. As your age ascends, the quality of the texture of your hair descends. It becomes vital to treat your hair with utmost care. Therefore, using homemade conditioners and detanglers can prevent future damage to the hair. Conditioners help in managing dry hair whereas detanglers help in repairing damage from tangling of hair.
Following are some DIY homemade deep conditioners and detanglers
Coconut Spray-In conditioner And Detangler
Coconut hair oil is a well known conditioner in the market and since it has an oily feel to it, it acts as a detangler as well. In a spray bottle add a cup of distilled water and 2- 3 tbsp of coconut hair oil. You may also add an essential oil of your choice for fragrance. Now, shake the contents thoroughly and spray generously in your hair. After this, you will be easily able to detangle those tresses.
Aloe Vera Conditioner And Detangler
Aloe Vera, along with its many benefits, prevents all kinds of damage to hair and makes it shiny with a healthy glow. You will have to extract the aloe Vera fresh from its plant. It can be applied directly to the hair starting from the scalp all the way to the tips. You may wrap your head in a warm towel and leave it at that for 15 minutes. Lather and rinse with a mild shampoo.
Diluted Conditioner Detangler
This one here is probably the easiest one to make as it involves no buying of new products. The branded conditioner that you may already have at home contains a lot of chemicals that harm the quality of your hair. What you can do is dilute it with mixing distilled water and instead of massaging it in your scalp; you can spray it on your hair. This will act as a conditioner as well as an excellent detangler. You will need a cup of distilled water, a spray can and 1 tbsp of your branded conditioner. Mix and shake them well in the spray can and use it away!
Flax Seed Detangler
Flax seeds contain Omega-3 fatty acids which help make hair stronger, healthier and grow fast. Take a handful of flax seeds and boil them in water. When the mixture starts to thicken and starts turning into gel, turn off the heat and strain the contents using a pantyhose or a strainer. After cooling it down, you may apply the gel directly to your hair for detangling purposes. To make a conditioner out of it, add half a tbsp of gel into a spray can with a cup of distilled water. Shake well and spray into your hair.
Lavender Hair Detangler
Lavender is great for people having dry scalp and this being a natural hair detangler, can be applied directly from the scalp. This hair detangler not just detangles but also helps to moisturize, thanks to its vitamin E and jojoba oil content and also helps to calm itchy scalp. Plus, the fact that you will smell amazing throughout the day is an added advantage of this detangler. To prepare this amazing hair detangler, mix 1 cup of lavender flower-soaked water with ½ teaspoon of vitamin E oil, ½ teaspoon of jojoba oil and 25-30 drops of lavender essential oil. Transfer the mixture to a spray bottle and shake well to mix thoroughly. Shake the mixture well before every use.
