1. Egg Honey Mask
Egg yolk – 1
Olive oil – 2 tbsp
honey – 1 tsp
Beat the egg yolk and add olive oil and honey to it and mix well. Massage this paste to the hair and cover with a shower cap. Leave for around 45 minutes and them wash off with lukewarm water. Follow this procedure twice a week. Make sure your hair is not oiled while you apply this mask.
2. Oil Mix
Coconut oil – 100 ml
Castor/Almond/Olive oil – 1 tsp
Mix any of the above mentioned oil into the coconut oil. You can even add all the three oils into coconut oil, whatever combination you like, keep experimenting with different mixes to see what suits your hair type. Warm the mixture slightly and then massage to the scalp and hair from roots to tip. Leave it overnight or around 8 hours and wash in the morning with lukewarm water. Remember never to wash hair with hot water as it will damage it and cause split ends. Repeat this procedure twice a week for beat results. This will not only help to cure split ends but also boosts hair growth.
3. Honey Serum
Water – 4 cups
Honey – 1 tbsp
In lukewarm water add honey and mix well. This is a natural leave in serum. Shampoo your hair like you regularly do. Using a towel absorb the excess water. Now apply this serum to the wet hair. This serum will make the hair softer and will retain the natural moisture of the hair thus getting rid of split ends.
The treatments mentioned above will help to prevent split ends in the future. If you have split ends, get them trimmed immediately and regularly follow these treatments. Also make sure to not use harsh chemicals on your hair. Avoid using heat to curl and straighten hair, if necessary do apply anti heat spray or serum to the hair. Trim your hair after every three months to avoid split ends. Keep the hair moisturized using conditioners and wash twice a week using a mild shampoo.
