Coconut, water, half cup of liquid castille soap, few drops of lavender essential oil and rosemary oil and half tablespoon of almond oil
Grate the white part of the coconut and to it add one cup of hot water and blend the mixture in a blender. Strain the mixture through a cotton cloth. The thick liquid that you collect is coconut milk. Canned coconut milk is also available but it is better to use fresh coconut milk. Mix half cup of fresh coconut milk with half cup of liquid castille soap. Add the essential oils and the almond oils and pour the mixture in a bottle. Close the mouth of the bottle and shake the bottle vigorously so that all the ingredients blend well. You coconut shampoo is ready for use. It has a shelf life of one month.

This recipe involves the use of aloe vera gel which has healing properties and gives relief from inflammation and itching and also moisturizes the scalp. This shampoo also helps in maintaining the ph.
1 ½ cup of fresh coconut milk,1 ½ cup of pure aloe vera gel and few drops of lavender essential oil and rosemary oil.
Mix fresh coconut milk and aloe vera gel in a bowl. Mix it well to form a smooth mixture. Add the essential oils and again mix it. Your coconut milk and aloe vera gel shampoo is ready. It needs to be stored in the freezer and has a very short shelf life of only one week. Remove the shampoo from the freezer a few hours before you need to use it. Since it has a short shelf life it is better to make the shampoo in small quantities.
