1 daikon radish root, 2 teaspoons of olive oil, finely chopped green chili, one teaspoon red pepper powder,1/4 the teaspoon of turmeric powder,1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds and cumin seeds,1 tablespoon of fresh chopped coriander leaves, one tablespoon of fresh lemon juice and salt to taste.
Chop the daikon radish root into small pieces. In a pan heat the olive oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and asafetida .Now add the chopped green chili, turmeric powder, red pepper powder and sauté. Now add the daikon radish pieces and salt and mix well. Cook on medium heat for two minutes and put off the flame. Add juice of fresh lemon and coriander leaves and serve hot.
Daikon Radish Indian Bread
One cup grated daikon radish root, chopped green chili, one teaspoon red pepper powder, salt to taste, chopped coriander leaves,4 tablespoons of wheat flour and one tablespoon of gram flour and oil
In a bowl take the grated radish and add all the spices, green chili and the coriander leaves and salt and mix well. Now add the gram flour and wheat flour and knead the dough well. Let it rest for half an hour. Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a flat round bread and bake it on a girdle .Put some oil on the girdle while cooking the bread.
